Accident causes thousands in damage print

An accident caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to two vehicles in Rapid City Friday morning.   The accident happened at the intersection of West Boulevard and Columbus Street at around 9:30.  

The Rapid City Police Department says a teenage driver of a Buick traveling on Columbus stopped at the intersection then proceeded through without yielding to the driver of a Lexus that had the right of way.   The P-D says the two vehicles collided, causing about $15-hundred dollars in damage to the Buick and about $5-thousand dollars in damage to the Lexus.  The driver of the Buick was cited for what police are calling a stopping offence, and for having no proof of insurance.Neither driver was injured.
