|Rush take down Mavs|

For the Rapid City Rush, they're 2013 struggles all come down to one thing, offense. Headed into tonight's contest with Missouri they were dead last in the league in scoring, nine goals behind the next closest team. Head coach Joe Ferras wanted his team to be tougher and grittier this year but until the offense gets going, this team isn't going anywhere. Sebatian Thinel leads the CHL in points scored, the Rush had to find a way to slow him down tonight. We are in the first period, the Rush break out, Jared Brown gets it to the captain Scott Wray. Wray unleashes a one timer that finds the back of the net. His 12th goal of the year gives the Rush the 1-0 lead. Later in the period watch Winston Day Chief spin between two defenders and he actually gets off the back hand but it goes wide. Nice moves by the Chief. Five minutes later Andrew Courtney gets into it with Mike Couch. I usually try to sugar coat it when the Rush lose a fight but Couch just gets pummeled here. Both men get five minutes for fighting. On the ensuing four on four Jordan Behler takes the pass and delivers an absolute rocket past goal tender Mike Clemente. Behler's 4th goal of the year extends the lead to 2-0.
