The P.D. says the accident happened after a car traveling southbound on Mt. Rushmore stopped for a red light. The RCPD says the car then proceeded through the intersection while the light was still red, hitting a Jeep Cherokee traveling eastbound on St. Joe.

Police say two occupants of the Jeep were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the car was cited for a red light violation.
