| Thorstensen resigns from Seventh Circuit Court |

She had spent 18 years in the federal government prior to being sworn in as a judge in the Seventh Circuit in December of 2009. Presiding Judge Jeff Davis says Thorstenson's cases will be divided up among the other judges. He says the Judicial Qualifications Commission will recommend candidates to Governor Dennis Daugaard, who will then appoint her replacement. -Jack Caudill |
