Six lions down

Three days into the season and hunters have already taken down 6 mountain lions;  3 of them female.     The Black Hills mountain lion hunting season has expanded this year with the season starting earlier and the quota being raised.

As it stands, the season is scheduled to run through the end of March, but will end earlier if the quota of 100 total lions or 70 females is reached.   The latest to be taken was a 94 pound female out of Custer County on Friday.
