GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) _ City officials in Gillette are looking at new ways to promote coal exports by hosting government officials from outside Wyoming. Gillette and other cities in northeast Wyoming are considering joining a new nonprofit group that promotes the development of infrastructure to export coal overseas. The group is called the Alliance for Northwest Jobs and Exports. The Gillette News-Record reports the Wyoming Governor's Office also is looking at bringing officials from other states to Wyoming to see the state's energy industry. Gillette Mayor Tom Murphy says local officials in northeast Wyoming could help host those visits. Northeast Wyoming communities pooled $60,000 two years ago to bring members of the U.S. House Natural Resources Committee to Gillette. Some of those funds also were used to host a recent delegation from China. AP-WF-12-28-12 1827GMT<
