It's been said the clinical definition of insanity is repeating the same actions, but expecting different results. The Rapid City Rush seems to be getting there, since the team has failed to beat the Denver Cutthroats in their last five meetings. Friday night, coach Joe Ferras and company would attempt to try something a little different in an effort to stop the skid.

Coach Derek Armstrong boasting three of the top five scorers in the league and hoping to ride them to another victory. 1st period, Jamie VanderVeeken firing on net, but Millan smothers this one, the Rush could use some rebound opportunities. Later, Jesse Schultz picks it off in neutral ice, tries to feed Damian Surma, but Surma can't pull the trigger, but the Rush with great pressure in the first. Rush trying to light a fire, Justin Sawyer doing the doe-see-doe with Mike Towns, both men head to the sin bin. Later, Rush attacking again, Jeff Lee fires, the puck just sits on the doorstep, but it's swept out quickly. Denver attacking, Luke Fulghum sends one on net, but Danny Battochio gobbles that one up. Denver on a power play, the Rush laying it on the line, Markus Lauridsen fires and Michael Couch lays out taking the point blank slapper on the hip.Final Score 4 to 1.
