A 9-year-old Box Elder girl was left with serious injuries after a Christmas Day rollover accident on Catron Boulevard. Authorities say the accident happened at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when a Blazer traveling east and uphill on Catron lost traction, sliding into oncoming traffic.

The Blazer was then hit by a Dodge Grand Caravan that was carrying two adults and five children who authorities say are from Box Elder.

Police say the driver of the Caravan, along with his wife and three children were transported to Rapid City Regional Hospital all with non-life threatening injuries, except for the 9-year-old who police say had serious injuries.

Authorities say the driver of the Blazer was uninjured and not ticketed. The driver of the Caravan was cited for driving without a license.
