What makes the event so unique is that all of the "littles" served by the organization, as well as their families and volunteers, all get to take part in the holiday fun. Big Brothers Big Sisters Development Director Jodi Oliver says, "One of the things that makes this so fun is that we don't often get to see what our "bigs" and "littles" are doing together, so what we do is kind of intangible, it's very much one on one and so here tonight we can all be in a big group and celebrate together." Oliver says they have 300 kids matched up with a big brother or big sister right now but about 45 children are still waiting on a mentor.
