All twelve jurors agreed that Brenner is NOT REPONSIBLE for alienating the affections of Kellie Rumpca, now Kellie Brenner, from her former husband Doug Rumpca.

Doug is seen here exiting the courthouse with his attorneys. In closing arguments this morning, Doug Rumpca's attorney argued 14-thousand minutes of calls between Brenner and Kellie Rumpca demonstrated a dependency that developed between the two.

Brenner's attorney Daniel Duffy countered saying the entire case is not about alienation of affections... rather a continuance of the Rumpcas' divorce. Duffy says this case should pose the question of whether or not this type of lawsuit is still relevant in today's world. Duffy says, "Particularly, cases like this will cause many people to step back and say, 'is this a law that serves a strong public interest or not?' I think if someone sat through this week and listened to what took place in this courtroom, they'd have serious questions about whether or not this really serves the kind of interests people thought it did."

Also along with this afternoon's verdict, the jury also declared Brenner would not have to pay any damages to Doug Rumpca as a result of the case.
