Former Bear Country USA president Kevin Casey was killed in a one-vehicle accident Friday morning on 293rd Avenue about three miles north of Presho.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 51-year old Kevin Joseph Casey of Rapid City was driving a Dodge Ram pickup on a gravel road when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled. The Patrol says Casey was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened sometime between midnight and 7:40 Friday morning.

Kevin was part of the Casey family which founded Bear Country USA. Kevin was part a group who sold their interest to the park to other family members back in 2010. Casey is also on the board of the Black Hills Stock Show Foundation.
