Boys Club reaches halfway point of X-mas tree sale

The Rapid City Club for Boys says they've passed the halfway point in their annual Christmas tree sale and fundraiser.  At the start of the sale, the club says they had a total of about 3,200 trees.  Now they're sitting on about 1,500 that still need homes.

Despite seeing increased sales over last year at this same time, the Club for Boys says they're not out of the woods yet in terms of fundraising.  Dave Oyler of the Rapid City Club for Boys says, "I don't say that we're in the halfway point of our goal of what we need, because right now, with the price we pay for the trees and help and everything, we're not at the point where we've made a dime yet. So, we're still selling trees to cover our costs."  The club says they're looking forward to this weekend, as the first full weekend in December tends to be their big one for tree sales each holiday season.  They'll stay open for the holiday season Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
