The alienation of affection lawsuit filed against Pennington County State's Attorney Glenn Brenner was back in court for a second day Tuesday. Brenner is being sued by Doug Rumpca, who says Brenner stole the affections of his then–wife Kellie, who later married Brenner. Brenner was on the stand again Tuesday testifying about his relationship with Kellie and phone conversations between the two. Brenner said he was not the reason for Doug and Kellie's divorce. Doug Rumpca took the stand Tuesday afternoon saying he feels his family has been taken away from him. The state Supreme Court ruled that the case should go before a jury after a judge earlier dismissed the suit saying there was no affection left in the marriage when Glenn Brenner became involved with Kellie. -Jack Caudill |
