WAVI Holds Open House
Tuesday, 04 December 2012 12:36
Working Against Violence Inc held its annual open house Tuesday afternoon at the facility in Rapid City.  It was a rare chance for visitors to tour the facility, which serves as temporary housing for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

WAVI staff enjoyed some relaxed time with the public, partners and supporters.  WAVI's executive director Mary Corbine says, "Well it's an opportunity for our partners and the community to come in and visit and, you know, at a time where we're not talking business and in crisis situations like we do with our partners often. So it's just a good time to continue building relationships and learn more about each other."  In addition to providing temporary housing, WAVI offers comprehensive services including counseling, a 24-hour crisis line and community education.
