Rush fall in overtime to Thunder

It seems like being shut out by the Bloomington Blaze Friday night was, oddly enough, just what the Rapid City Rush needed. The boys responded the following night with a five goal barrage of the Blaze as they walked away with the 5-3 win. After a few days off to get their minds right the Rush looked to keep the offense going in the right direction Tuesday night against Wichita.

Les Reaney made his first trip back to Rapid City since being waived by the team. No doubt he'll be playing with a chip on his shoulder Tuesday night.

We're in the first period and the puck is just sitting in front of Timmy Boron but the kid is a wall between the pipes. The Rush escape with no damage.

Later in the period the Rush are on the attack, John Snowden flicks the wrister on net but Kevin Regen is strong at the point of attack and the game remains scoreless.

Moments later Regan stones the Rush again as Scott Wray tries to go back door, and we're still tied at zero.

Watch Jeff Lee, the rookie fends off the defender with one arm and then fires the shot under the glove of Regan. Lee's second goal of the year gives the Rush the 1-0 lead. The Rush lose 2 to 1.
