Two women were taken to the hospital Monday morning with non-life threatening injuries after an accident on Sturgis Road. It happened around 8:30 a.m.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a Ford Focus was stopped on Everest Street at a stop sign. The Patrol says the driver didn't see a Dodge Intrepid heading north on Sturgis Road, pulled into traffic and hit it.

The drivers of both cars were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The Patrol says the driver of the Ford Focus, 45-year old Tammy Scrivner of Rapid City, was cited for a stop sign violation.
