GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) _ Visiting restrictions are in place at Campbell County Memorial Hospital because of a recent spike in flu cases in the area. The Gillette News Record reports that visitors at the hospital's maternal units must wash their hands and wear a mask while visiting a patient's room. The hospital is prohibiting children under 12 from visiting. Only the mother's spouse or significant other and two other people can visit at any one time. The hospital will evaluate the restrictions on a weekly basis. Hospital prevention specialists Veronica Taylor says November is early for visiting restrictions. But he says newborns are at a higher risk than the general population for contracting the flu. AP-WF-11-30-12 1415GMT<
