Rollover accident holds up traffic on Sheridan Lake Road
Wednesday, 28 November 2012 16:02
The South Dakota Highway Patrol and Whispering Pines Volunteer Fire Department held traffic to a crawl on Sheridan Lake Road after a rollover accident Wednesday morning. The driver of the vehicle says she was headed east on Sheridan Lake Road when the vehicle spun out and then caught a driveway ditch and rolled onto its passenger side.

The woman did not sustain any injuries and was able to get out of her vehicle, further medical attention was not needed. The Highway Patrol confirmed that the vehicle had skidded and the woman over-corrected, which caused the rollover. The driver was issued one citation for no insurance. The Highway Patrol asks motorists to drive slowly and be aware of road conditions during winter weather.
