Grapplers get ready for the Custer Invitational Wrestling Tournament |

Basketball isn't the only sport taking center stage this winter.
Grapplers from around the area are gearing up for the annual Custer Invitational Wrestling tournament.Wildcats head coach Jared Webster says this weekend's tournament serves as a great early test for area wrestlers.Webster says, 'The kids are excited. Should be an exciting year for everybody. We'll see what happens. Not everybody's at the right weight yet, but we're gonna have a bunch of competition between ourselves. And the teams coming in, we've got some good competition, so it should be fun. In the lighter weights, we should be solid. In the middle, we've got some holes to fill, but around Christmas time, everything should be taken care of.'The Custer Invitational wrestling tournament hits the mats in the Southern Hills beginning Friday afternoon. The tournament wraps up on Saturday. |
