Traffic stop turns into drug bust
Saturday, 17 November 2012 20:23
Troopers say on Thursday they arrested four California men making their way across the state carrying 89 pounds of marijuana. The Highway Patrol says they pulled the SUV over for speeding along Interstate-90 about 10 miles east of Rapid City. They say the vehicle was towing a rented trailer and after the driver consented to a K–9 search of the vehicle, troopers found the pot stuffed in two box–springs. According to the Highway Patrol the drugs were being transported to St. Paul Minnesota. The Highway Patrol says they busted another man earlier in the week carrying 99 pounds of marijuana. -Brendyn Medina
