A less-than-stellar 13-and-12 regular season landed a seventh seed for the Stevens Raider girls. But it's not how you start, it's how you finish, and Thursday night, the Lady Raiders sought to start their finish with an upset of the second-seeded Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles.

The Lady Raiders pumped for the first round of action as we head to Naasz Gym for action from the first set.

Aberdeen Central comes out strong, the feed to Amanda Tobin who drops the hammer for the Eagles point.

Later, Tobin getting it done at the net as she throws up the block on Kori Nye.

Aberdeen Central setting the offense again and feeding Tobin who blisters it again for the kill.

But Stevens feeling good and looking good as well, Skylar Larson takes a little pace off this one and sends it down the line for the point.

Larson not finished yet as she moves to the back row and hammers it home again as Stevens goes up 14-9 in the race to 25.

After an Aberdeen Central timeout, Larson shows she's dangerous from everywhere as she tallies the ace.

Set point now, and who else, but Larson who places this one beautifully to catch the line and Stevens sends a message early and delivers it with an exclamation point by upsetting the number two team in the tournament.

Final Score 3 to 1.
