As part of the year-long 'Heritage of the American West Performance Series,' the Spearfish High Plains Western Heritage Center will be hosting a special performance tomorrow night themed around the Midwest celebration of Christmas. It's called 'Christmas on the High Plains,' and organizers say it's a musical extravaganza featuring 'more entertainment than Santa has elves.' Event organizer Francie Ganje says, "Our featured holiday performer before the Calcutta begins is the national act 'Sweethearts in Carhartts.' They're two wonderful performers from Texas and South Dakota; humor and music like you just can't believe." Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance from blackhillsvacations.com for $30, or at the door for $35. -Brendyn Medina |
