Bishop Robert Gruss blessed the lots Tuesday afternoon and says the new homes will be volunteer-built on a foundation of community faith.

Gruss says, "It's just an outward expression of their faith and their love for Christ and a response to the gospel to love God above everything and then love their neighbor as their self, and who is our neighbor but those who are in need? So I think their enthusiasm comes out of that faith experience as being lived out in this very clear way."

Habitat officials say they hope to have walls up on the new homes by next spring and completion done by December of 2013.
