District 33 House candidates discuss top priorities

In just five days, voters across the country will head to the polls. Although South Dakota hasn't received much national attention this year, there are many important races on the state level, including the State House race in District 33.

Running in that district is Democrat Robin Page and Republicans Jacqueline Sly and Scott Craig.

Page says, "I'm really concerned that our state legislature and our governor are making some wrong decisions about education in our state. I think education has to be the top priority for government spending, especially state government spending, and I'm really concerned about that."

Sly says, "I'm also on education reform advisory council and the criminal justice work group, and it's amazing how much all of those things fit together. And we need to look for South Dakota comprehensive and cohesive approach, rather than picking out one area and working on that. I'm looking out for the big picture."

Candidate Scott Craig was unavailable for an on-camera interview but tells Black Hills FOX he follows much in line with Sly and says he supports traditional values with limited government.
