His teammates say they'll always remember his big smile, and they described Nick Bazemore as both a friend and a brother. Hundreds of Black Hills State University students turned out for a vigil at Lyle Hare Stadium Tuesday night in memory of the student athlete who died Sunday night.

Bazemore was a member of the Yellow Jacket football team. His teammates organized Tuesday night's vigil. BH Athletic Director Jhett Albers said they wanted do it in memory of Nick, and in support of his family and each other. Albers says, "We talk a lot about the Black Hills State community and the Yellow Jacket family, and that's what it becomes you know. It becomes one of those things when you lose a member of your family, everybody kind of pulls together."

The 18-year-old from Gillette, Wyo., was found dead in his residence hall Sunday night. Police don't suspect foul play in Bazemore's death, but their investigation is ongoing.
