SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) _ Family, friends and colleagues have started streaming into the Washington Pavilion for the start of a funeral service to honor former U.S. Sen. George McGovern. McGovern, a three-time Democratic presidential candidate, died Sunday in Sioux Falls. He was 90. His funeral service is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. Family and friends started streaming into the Mary Sommervold Hall when doors opened at 11 a.m. By 11:30 a.m., the middle sections were already filling up. The hall seats about 1,800 people. Other people remained in the entryway of the pavilion chatting and looking at photos of the former senator, including McGovern's great-grandson, Matt McGovern, who is scheduled to read a passage from the Bible during the service. George McGovern will be buried in a private ceremony in Washington. AP-WF-10-26-12 1648GMT<
