Deadwood prepares for Halloween weirdness |

All of that Halloween stuff that's been packed away for the past year is coming out of attics all over the Black Hills area. And that's true in Deadwood as well, as preparations are almost complete for this coming weekend's Deadweird happenings.
Deadweird happens every year as the ghosts of gunned-down miners, jilted lovers, and long-dead gunslingers come to life to haunt the streets of Deadwood.But instead of running in terror, residents of Deadwood just invite the ghosts in for a party.Katie Malin says, "We have a Monster's Ball. And this is the first year we're doing it. On Friday night and that's going to go from seven to nine oclock at the Bodega. We have a live band that was here earlier. The name of the band is Loaded Dice." The main events during Deadweird 2012 will take place Friday night and Saturday. |
