Tigers overcome 1sr quarter errors
Friday, 19 October 2012 16:07
Off to New Underwood where the Tigers needed a win against Jones County to make the playoffs.  And the Tigers come out with a purpose, hammering Gus Volmer and jarring the ball loose, but Jones County recovers.

The Coyotes driving, Volmer goes to the skies, but Cameron Koch is there for the interception, and that's when the wheels fall off for New Underwood.  That drive ends up back up to the end zone and the snap to the punter sails out for the Jones County safety.  On the ensuing drive for Jones County, Volmer rolls then fires to Philip Mathews for the 40-yard touchdown.  And it goes from bad to worse for New Underwood on that ensuing kickoff as Aaron Oberlander gets stripped of the ball on the return.  But the Tigers battle back to power their way into the playoffs. New Underwood wins it 38 to 26.
