Firefighters say the original call came in around 10:30 this morning for a grass fire on both sides of Highway 44. The fire spread up a hill on the north side of highway 44, forcing firefighters to use several engines for structure protection on a home near the top of the hill. Crews say they were able to knock the blaze down fairly quickly and investigators say they believe the fire to be human-caused. The exact cause however remains under investigation.
