Early Sunday morning the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation held its annual Memorial Service to honor firefighters across the nation, who have died in the line of duty.

85 new names were added to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Three South Dakota firefighters were honored at Sunday's ceremony. They are Trampus Haskvitz who's memorial you see here and Jacob and William Waldner. Haskvitz died while fighting the Coal Canyon fire north of Edgemont in August of last year and Jacob and William Waldner both died while fighting a rekindled coal bin fire last September. Flags across the nation were ordered to fly at half staff and more than 6,000 people attended Sunday morning's ceremonies.
