A week and a half from Tuesday, the state's top tennis players will make their way to the Black Hills for the South Dakota High School Tennis Tournament and the Stevens Raiders are hoping to find themselves in the thick of the hunt.

Tuesday afternoon, the Raiders took to the Sioux Park courts, taking on their cross-town rivals from Central.

Number One Doubles, Sydney Moyle and Taylor Messenger taking on Central's Kendall Tucker and Tianna Duda. Tucker serving in the far court, but a weak volley and Messenger hammers this one home for the Lady Raider point. But the Cobblers return the favor, Messenger gets backed up, and Tucker jumps on it, getting a little help from the net cord.

Late in the match, Messenger hammers the forehand winner that's too much for Central to handle. Switch ends, and Tucker working well at the net, Tucker going right down the pipe for the winner. But to no avail, Moyle works it into Tucker's body for the Raider point.

Moyle and Messenger take the super set 10-3.
