The South Dakota Highway Patrol is getting a little bump in funding when it comes to its drug-control operations.

Attorney General Marty Jackley says the nearly $215,000 will be used to buy weapons and other equipment for the patrol. The money is coming from the drug control fund which consists of money seized during drug arrests and investigations. Funds also are procured through the sale of drug-related assets, such as vehicles, televisions and appliances. Jackley says the patrol contributes substantially to the drug-control fund.
