Seniors show off their hobbies
Saturday, 15 September 2012 15:25
Senior citizens got a chance to show their hobbies including some valuable collectibles Saturday at the Canyon Lake Senior Center. The hobbies included wood-working, leatherworking, flower arranging and doll collecting, among many others. Some of the dolls on display were more than a century old and could be worth many hundreds of dollars.

Some of the crafts on display Saturday were sold to interested parties.

Milo Norwick says, "They had 39 exhibitors. Very nice displays. Some were selling and some just displayed. That was very nice. We were kind of short on the crowd though."

Next Thursday at the Canyon Lake Senior Center, members who are more than 90 years old will be honored with an ice cream social.
