In local college football the Hardrockers were sporting some new uniforms and taking on division 2 powerhouse Colorado Mines in a battle of the smart kids. We pick this up in the second half with Colorado Mines already up 42-7 and they're looking for more. Matt Brown finds Drew Pawelek across the middle. He makes a couple of moves and picks up 17 yards. Two plays later the Orediggers run the draw to Dan Palmer and he has all kinds of running room up the middle. Palmer picks up the first down, Colorado Mines made it look easy tonight. Later in the drive Brown goes to the sidelines and finds Diamond Gillis for another first down. And then the Orediggers would find themselves in a 4th and long inside the red zone. They elect to go for it and Brown hits Diamond on the slant for the touchdown. That made it 48-7 Colorado Mines. They would go on to win the game 71 to 7.
