For many, camping and Labor Day go hand in hand. And in the central hills, there's a new campground resort that's aiming to draw in a wider variety of outdoor enthusiasts. The Trailside Park Resort features 35 RV sites with full hookups, six tent sites and eight cabins. The resort says by incorporating many of the amenities found in hotel rooms into their cabins, they hope to make their venue more accessible to visitors. They also say their location will give their guests easier access to many local attractions.

Ty Gerbracht of the Trailside Park Resort says, "With the Mickelson Trail running right through the middle of it and Spring Creek running through it, we're located right in the heart of Hill City, so it's easy access for the events that happen in the local area."

The Trailside Park Resort will be hosting a public open house at their location just south of Hill City, running Sunday 10 to 3.
