Fishing seems to be on the rise nationwide

More anglers are testing their luck in South Dakota waters. According to South Dakota's Game, Fish and Parks Department, this has been one of their best years when it comes to the sale of fishing licenses. The department says so far 67,000 licenses have been sold this year, that's up from 56,000 at this time last year.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says this is a trend nationwide, with state's across the country seeing an increase in both hunters and anglers.

Officials say one possibility for the increase is the economy, with people looking for free or cheap activities for families.
