City Council to take action regarding Fish Garbage settlement
Friday, 31 August 2012 12:22
Members of the Rapid City Council will meet on Tuesday to take action on a proposed settlement agreement in the Fish Garbage case. The case could reach a settlement if the council chooses to do so. The council will have the choice to accept a confession of judgment in favor of the city and a settlement of $375,000 Fish Garbage.

City Attorney Joel Landeen says if the council does accept the agreement it would end the city's case.

In December of 2009 the city accused Fish Garbage of cheating Rapid City out of tens of thousands of dollars by not paying proper dumping fees at the landfill. The council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday night at 6:30 at the City School Administration Complex.
