| McPherson loses in Olympic quarterfinals |

Paige McPherson of Sturgis lost her quarterfinal Olympic taekwondo match Friday morning in London, falling 6-1 to Turkey's Tator Nur. McPherson took a quick 1-0 lead in the 67kg quarterfinal match, but Nur came back led 2-1 after the first round and scored 4 points on a spinning kick to the head in round two. Round three was scoreless. Nur now faces Carmen marton of Australia in the semi-finals.
