And across the road is a small park and camping area that includes a small chapel used many times by visitors to the cemetery during bike week. The VFW has operated the park and chapel for more than 40 years. And it's just completed a renovation at the chapel that includes new stained glass windows and what is called a "peace pole" outside the entrance to the chapel. On the monument is an inscription in four languages. Pat O'Neill says, "Because we're in district ten, and the largest post out here, we kind of assume the responsibility for caring for it. But all the posts are involved. They're all on the committee to help supervise things." Campers who stay at the park pay a $40 dollar per night camping fee that goes toward maintenance at the park.
