Gypsies host second night of short track races
Tuesday, 07 August 2012 15:56
Riders warmed up nicely in the first official day of action at the Sturgis Rally. Tuesday evening, bikers hit the short track for the second straight night with the Jackpine Gypsies.

The sun was setting upon another gorgeous day as day two action began.

We're going to kick it off with the 350's. John McClellan won last night and he did it again Tuesday night. The race got a little tight towards the end but McClelland holds on in the end.

On to the 35cc's we go and Sturgis' own Dawson Schieffer was the prohibitive favorite coming into the race and he didn't disappoint. He takes the checkered flag without batting an eye lash.

And finally we'll finish things up with the 450's. A restart effectively made this a two man race and Minnesota's Andrew Hook came out ahead. The Jackpine Gypsies will hold half-mile races Wednesday at Noon at the Sturgis Fairgrounds.
