Revive Five looks to spruce up Rapid City
Friday, 03 August 2012 12:05
Several homes and yards in Rapid City look a little tidier after volunteers did some tree-trimming Friday morning. The volunteers from Johnson Tree Company removed some branches that were threatening some shingles, gave a hair cut to some back-yard bushes, and made some elms look a little more presentable this morning at several homes along Haines Avenue.

The work was part of the NeighborWorks "Revive Five" program to help renew Rapid City neighborhoods.

Stephanie Valkenberg says, "NeighborWorks is partnered with the Rapid City Police Department, and they scoped out the neighborhood and went door to door and asked the residents if they would be interested or needed help."

NeighborWorks Dakota Home Resources is a non-profit organization that helps families in South Dakota realize their dreams of owning their own homes.
