You can find dinosaur remains, fossils, minerals, and collectibles from all over the world in Hill City. The Black Hills Institute Museum opened in 1980, and museum officials say it's home to the largest collection of fossils on display in the entire state.

Plenty of people stop in for a "natural history" lesson while their in Hill City. Museum officials say they see more than 10-thousand visitors a year pass through their doors. Secretary-Treasurer Bob Farrar says, "I think people like to see fossils, like to be able to get close to the fossils they're looking at, so many museums you're kept back away from the dinosaurs or things or everything is behind glass, can't really experience it in the same way."
