Church near site of shooting still prays for healing
Thursday, 02 August 2012 12:21
The coping and healing process is still in the early stages for many who live and work in the area of the shooting. Several vigils and a memorial have been set up over the past year at the New Beginnings Baptist Church on the corner of Anamosa and Greenbriar.

Church goers say they've seen a decrease in parishioners since the shooting, but say remembrance and forgiveness are the key.

Rapid City resident Timothy Scheckle says, "It's a sad tragedy that it happened and I think it's good for the community to remember it and understand what actually happened in order to heal."
