Sunday, 29 July 2012 15:01
The former home of a Black Hills rodeo hero has turned out to be the perfect spot for artists.  The Historic Madison Ranch, on Nemo Road, was the location Sunday for what coordinators call a "Paint Out."

Sunday, dozens of artist were invited to the Madison Ranch to simply spend the day painting with the scenery surrounding the ranch serving as the inspiration.

Mavis Madison says, "And Russ Madison who settled this in 1917 has been inducted into the Oklahoma Cowboy Hall of Fame. So, good news for us."

The Madison Ranch Paint Out was held in conjunction with the High Plains Heritage Museum and Heritage of the American West.
