Rapid City woman dies in motorcycle accident |

A Rapid City woman has died from injuries she suffered in a crash near Rockerville Tuesday evening.
The accident happened on Highway 16 when a motorcycle and SUV collided.And that leads off tonight's Top Six.The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 36-year old Kimberly Ericks was the passenger on a motorcycle driven by Christopher Ericks.The two were thrown from their motorcycle after a Ford Escape, driven by Louella Durfey of Montana, tried to change lanes to make the Rockerville exit.That's when the two collided.The patrol says Kimberly Ericks was wearing a helmet but still died from her injuries.Christopher Ericks was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.The driver of the Escape was not injured. |
