Sheridan welcoming visitors from around the world

The town of Sheridan, Wyoming, is rich in history and natural beauty.  Sheridan has become a big draw for tourists from around the world.  Tourism officials say they're up about seven percent from last summer and estimate about 100 thousand visitors check out their new information center each year.

One of the big goals is bringing in more international travelers.  Penny Becker, executive director of Sheridan Travel and Tourism, says, "The internationals are most interested in the cowboy lifestyle and cowboys and Indians is what our history is, so not only can you go to Fort Phil Karney, but you can go to the Battle of Little Big Horn."  Becker says they're currently working with organizations in Australia and Japan to increase tourism to Sheridan.
