Friday, 20 July 2012 12:05
Corvettes have taken over the town of Spearfish for the weekend. The Black Hills Corvette Classic was in full swing Friday in its 41st year. Corvette enthusiasts from across the country have gathered for the event.

Coordinators say they will see between 350 and 400 Corvettes take over the streets. One coordinator says there is a lot to love about America's sports car.

Black Hills Corvette Classic Coordinator says, "The speed, I think first of all, I mean their just a gorgeous car and I think the mentality and the personalities of Corvette owners, it just works really well to get people together and have a great time."

The Black Hills Corvette Classic will hold seminars, poker runs, guided tours, casino crawls, and much more. If you want to get a look at the cars, they'll be on Main Street in Spearfish Friday night for Vette Street USA.

The event runs through Saturday.
