Gib Elder had some control issues early on. First he plunks Ian Krump to start the game. Ian rubbed some dirt on it, he was ok. A passed ball by Ira Murphy allowed Krump to take second. After a passed ball and another hit batter, will Moore works Elder for the walk and Canyon Lake takes the early 1 to 0 lead. The coaching staff brought Tanner Dunn in from shortstop to pitch and he gets out of the jam as he induces the flay ball out. It's still 1-0 Canyon Lake after 1. Bottom of the inning Timberline fires back as Cody Beuler singles over the head of the leaping Tanner Good.
