The Pennington County Coroner's Office has received autopsy results regarding the death of Sturgis Mixed Martial Arts fighter Dustin Jenson.
Jenson is said to have suffered a seizure shortly after his fight at Ringwars on May 18th and was taken to Regional Hospital. He was declared brain dead on May 24th and was taken off life support. The autopsy indicates Jenson's cause of death was a subdural hemorrhage due to blunt force trauma to the head that was related to an injury approximately a week prior. The Coroner's Office went onto say the injury is consistent with the Ringwars event, but there is no conclusive evidence that the injury was sustained in the fight. |
