Despite Post 22 being in Minnesota this week for the Gopher Classic, Fitzgerald Stadium will still see plenty of American Legion action this weekend with the Marshall Tubbs Tournament.
Sturgis helped kick things off against Colorado 52-80, falling 4-to-1. That Colorado team returned to action this afternoon against Wheatland, Wyoming.You know it's crazy when they're breaking out umbrellas and it's not for the rain.----------And that's not a typo on the scoreboard, Wheatland was leading it 17-to-2 in the 2nd inning, Colorado at bat, JT Coleman hitting into the 4-6-3 double play to end the 2nd.------------T3 the Lobos looking for more, Anthony Apodaca delivers with a shot down the third baseline, that scores a run.----------Later Colby Geile in to bat and he comes through flying out to right field, that allows Timmy Becket to tag up and score.----------Then, Tyler Pollock with the base knock brings in Apodaca to make it a 20-to-2 lead.Final Score 20 to 2. |
